Sailing Tour Leader/Skipper
With a background in Physics and Economics, Chuck is one of those people lucky enough to call a sailing boat their home away from home.
He started sailing when he was 7 and competed as an athlete in sailing races until he was 17 years old. He got his skipper license in 2002 and since then he has covered over 10,000 nautical miles in races as well as in cruises.
For the past 12 years he has been roaming the Aegean and the Ionian seas, having visited most (if not all) major islands in the process.
Our team's collective and individual skills have been gained through years of operating in some of the remotest regions and culturally diverse communities around the globe.
We take great pride in our extensive knowledge of the local culture, history and geography of every single destination we visit in Greece.
Everyone at Bearing Tue South shares certain values on what traveling means to everyone involved in this process, be it the visitor, the host community and the natural environment.
We constantly strive for a minimum environmental footprint, while aiming for maximum benefits for the local communities and the visitor alike.
We believe that every journey is a cultural exchange, leaving its mark on both the traveler and the locals.
Over time we have cultivated strong personal relationships with the communities we visit, which ensures that you, besides feeling welcome, can enjoy genuine hospitality and immerse in the local culture.
Your overall experience and personal safety are of paramount importance to us and our professional skills and expertise are at your disposal at all times.
Evey single aspect of our tours has been extensively researched personaly by us.
